The Wonder of Chemical Reactions: What Our Science Lab Experiments Taught Us
Walking into the Bal Geetanjali high school chemistry lab for the very first time felt like stepping into an alchemist’s sanctuary. The polished test tubes, gleaming Bunsen burners, and neatly labeled reagent bottles on glass shelves immediately sparked our curiosity.
Our science teacher, Mr. Pokhrel, introduced us to acid-base titration using phenolphthalein indicator. When the first drop turned the clear solution into a radiant magenta pink, the whole class gasped with delight. That moment transformed science from abstract formulas in textbooks into a vibrant, living reality.
“Science is not just about memorizing equations; it is the thrill of asking questions, observing phenomena, and discovering truth with your own eyes.”
Working in pairs taught us precision, patience, and meticulous laboratory safety. We learned that an experiment that doesn’t work on the first try is not a failure — it is an invitation to re-check measurements, understand variables, and try again with greater focus.
I am grateful to our school for giving us hands-on lab access every week. It has truly fueled my dream of pursuing biotechnology in higher education!
