Echoes of the Valley: Our NCC Hiking and Leadership Camp to Shivapuri Peak

Echoes of the Valley: Our NCC Hiking and Leadership Camp to Shivapuri Peak

At 5:30 AM, the morning fog was still hovering over the city as 30 cadet students assembled at the Bal Geetanjali School quadrangle. Uniforms crisp, boots polished, and backpacks packed with rations, compasses, and first-aid kits, we embarked on the Shivapuri National Park leadership trek.

The trail was steep, winding through dense pine groves and cold mountain springs. By midday, fatigue began to test our resolve. This was where our cadet training came alive: senior cadets took turns carrying gear for tired juniors, and we sang marching anthems in unison to keep our spirits soaring.

“Discipline and unity are not just words on a badge; they are tested when the mountain gets steep and your teammate needs a helping hand.”

Reaching the peak and gazing at the snow-capped Himalayan horizon was breathtaking. We returned not just with mud on our boots, but with unbreakable bonds of brotherhood and a renewed commitment to serve our school and nation.
